I just watched Saw III.
Like the other 2, it was an excellent story, but spoiled quite a bit by annoying editing, annoying lighting and annoying sound effects. I hope that in the distant future these 3 films might be remade in a more watchable style.
But, Hollywood seems to be obsessed with re-making films that are perfectly good to start with - we've had inferior versions of The Haunting, The Wicker Man, The Stepford Wives, The Italian Job, etc. etc. I suppose they think it's a safe bet to remake something that worked first time round. Two notable exceptions were King Kong and War of the WorlRAB, which I think were excellent remakes of excellent films. But what I would really like to see is remakes of BAD films.
Just off the top of my head I would like to see a proper version of ThunderbirRAB, made for adults and done seriously and realistically.
Anyone got any ideas for films they would like to see remade?
