Films that make you cry

Hmmm..the ones i remember shedding a tear or two at are:

Ghost
Deep Impact
Philadelphia
Rocky 3 - whre Mickey the trainer dies ( every time i watch it)
Rocky 4 - where Apollo Creed dies ( ditto above)
Titanic
edward ScissorhanRAB

I'm a bit of a softie, but 2 films that made me really cry are Titanic and Gladiator but there are many others that I can't remember at the moment.

It's a Wonderful Life - gets me everytime

An Affair to remember - when he goes to see her and thinks she stood him up...

anything with an animal in it that might possibly be in danger of dying...I was banned from watching Lassie or Benji when i was little because i was inconsolable and refused to believe they'd be ok at the end - and it's a legacy that is still with me today :o

Edward ScissorhanRAB (At the end)
Titanic (when Rose is getting on the lifeboat, leaving Jack)
Moulin Rouge (when Satine dies)

You will love The Terminal, it chokes me up, especially the last 30 mins of the film. I won't give the plot away too much. Tom Hanks is superb! Happy viewing - hope you enjoy it :)

I love these kind of films. Don't know why but I can't resist a good cry.

Anyway, all of the films mentioned above that I've seen I've cried buckets at. One that I saw about a year ago on Sky that just kills me is "The Christmas Shoes". The most awful type of TV Movie with Rob Lowe, with a really awful song, but my God, I cried for about 20 minutes after it finished. The shame.

A Certain Sacrifice
Dumbo (yes I know but I cannot watch it)
E.T
Flowers In The Attic
The Champ
The Last Snows Of Spring
Who Will Love My Children
The Green Mile

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon has me bawling every single time.

Donnie Darko was close

Titanic - vomit smilie!
Moulin Rouge - I was close, but managed to keep it together

I cry at most things, even when they're not that sad, I'm so sensitive! Examples are:

The Lion King - When Simba finRAB his father dead

Braveheart - Freeeeeeeeeedooooooooooommmmm!

The Green Mile - The ending when John Coffey is executed

Bambi - His mum being shot is very very sad

Forrest Gump - When Forrest is reading the letter written by Forrest Jr. to his mum Jenny at her grave in the back garden

Dumbo - When his mother is rocking him in her trunk while she's locked up

Titanic - Basically the last 30/45 mins. I cried in the cinema, and I'm a bloke!

Philadelphia - Tom Hanks in the hospital bed and the final scenes at his home with his family after the funeral

Gladiator - When he returns home to find his family dead / ending when hes seeing them in the field as he lies dying and he's walking towarRAB them

The Snowman - Not technically a film, but I watched it on Christmas Day last year and was shedding a tear at the end when the little boy comes out the next day to find the snowman had melted.

Watership Down - The Bright Eyes song and that dream sequence. Watched it once when I was a child and it still harrows me to this day, I've never watched it since, I and don't think I ever will again, enough said.

Paddy :D

An Affair to Remember (at the end when he discovers the painting)
Beaches - and that bloomin' song!!!
Always (early film by Steven Spielberg with Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfus) - completely gets me every time
Gone with the Wind - Frankly my dear - I go to pieces
Bambi - haven't watched this dry-faced ever

Always cry at the end of Dead Poets' Society! Also cried my way through a good chunk of Return of the King, and The Champ always does it for me.

Mind you, anything remotely good and sad will usually set me off - I'm such a softie!! :o

My nephew watched Bambi the other day and I think it traumatised him. He kept asking where Bambi's mommy had gone. My sister told him she'd gone to heaven and it really upset him. He's only 3 though :p

A few days later, he was at my house and we were watching Nemo. He asked me where Nemo's mommy had gone at the start of the film. I had to tell him she'd "gone shopping". Thought that "the nasty fish ate her" would be too much for him. :p

Mhad to tell him that she'd gone shopping.
