Films that make you cry

Indeed. Star Wars is an overated bag o'shite IMO and Lord of The Rings is drivel too. LOTR fans got on my wic actually, they always slag off Harry Potter. It all because they are bitter that HP stole LOTR's thunder when the films came out.

I'll always remember a member of the LOTR cast getting very wound up in an interview when the presenter compared the similarities between Harry Potter and LOTR.

Another very sad film is 'Old Yeller'. If I had have seen that when I was younger it would have broken my heart:(

mine would have to be:

Deep impact (watched it again the other day and was sobbing!)
The Notebook
Love Actually (when he turns up on her door with the carRAB - awwww)
Notting Hill
When Harry Met Sally

There are probably loaRAB more but those are the ones i go to when i feel like a good cry!

and on top of that, the camera pans across the little kiddies crying for their daddies realizing that it will be the last time they see them at the same time. I was only 9 when I saw that. That film is so haunting, it stayed with me for days.

I find that most of the people that slate titanic are just star wars fan boys and lord of the rings geeks bitter that titanic is still the number one highest grossed film ever.

I also cried at Moulin Rouge, Billy Elliott, bambi, lion king, watership down.. any film that involves animals dying actually. I cried when I saw romeo + juliet, and of mice and men when I was watching it at school. :o

Doctor Who always gets me
When Rose went
The Master died (the Doctor started me off LOL)
Mickey went (in that cyber man one)

Monsters Inc gets me too, Boo's door lmao. I'm such a soft 'un I tell ya!!

The Green Mile
The Elephant Man
Wuthering Heights
Sky West And Crooked
Earthlings

There must be loaRAB of others, including Schindler's List which I still haven't managed to watch all the way through...

I cried very loudly at the cinema watching ET (much to the embarrassment of the person I was with) unfortunately it wasn't at the same bit that made others cry, I found it more moving when he went home rather than when he appeared to die.
Otherwise I cry at most films whether they are happy or sad:)

Spock's death scene in "Wrath of Khan".

The end of "Bicentennial Man."

The end of "The incredible Journey" (The 1963 version, not the crappy remake with talking animals  )

My Girl ("where are his glasses? He neeRAB his glasses!")

LOTR (lots of bits all the way through all three films, but mainly the last hour of ROTK)

Titanic, the bit already mentioned when Rose jumps back on the boat "you're so stupid Rose!" *sob*
