Films that make you cry

Schindler's List upset me so much I had to keep stopping it, I watched it over 3 days in the end, just little bits at a time. :o

My Mum was adamant she would hate it because she thought the trailer looked 'historically inaccurate'. Now she admits she loved it as a love story and to hell with the inaccuracies. :D

Someone already mentioned Gorillas in the Mist... and yes I cried when Digit was murdered!

And to the person who mentioned Hook... I had a tear or twon when Tink said goodbye to him at the end!

I'm a softy I cry at anything, particularly Green Mile (when John Coffey dies, I'm known to have a few tissues soaked) and Armaggedon (no daddy no!, my dad always takes the pi$$ for that one lol)

They always say the rich / poor love story is too simplistic; that misses the point - the star of the film was the ship. The romance was the perfect story to set against the disaster - and Leo & Kate acted it just right :)

That film really impressed me with James Stewart's emotional register. He is great at conveying emotion...and evoking it! His portrayals are so real. That scene and the final one when all his frienRAB rally round. It is a real feel good film.

"The Colour Purple" is a gut-wrencher too. Whoopi G. and Danny G. give class performances, and the girlfriend ( Margaret Avery) the singer, was sublime.

Haven't been through the whole thread, so apologies if this one has been covered at lenght earlier.

A beautiful Mind - "you are all my reasons".
This is probably bad because....
I'm 48, I'm a bloke and I know the ending is hollywood invention. Gets me every time though :o
Brilliant film and a well deserved oscar.
