Great to see Rebel without a cause and most definately agree with the Hammer Dracula featuring Christopher Lee :)

I might also add Reservoir Dogs (preferred it to Pulp Fiction).

TBH, I hadn't heard of The Godfather at 13, and now at nearly 19, I have no intention to watch it - It looks boring as hell to me.

However, I do wish I'd seen some of the 'great' films earlier, when it didn't bother me whether the quality was a bit crappy!

I'm 19 and I've heard and watched nearly every film mentioned in the original list and ones named in the thread too. But it had nothing to do with my parents. Though I know frienRAB who never heard of some classic Disney films, I have a friend who has never watched a Disney film and I find that stranger then a 13 year old not hearing of some of these films. At 13 I was introduced to them because I had older frienRAB who I just randomly watched films with. But I know my sister who grew up mainly around music would have heard of about 4 films in total mentioned on here.

Heck knowing my parents they probably haven't heard of most of these films. I'm usually the one telling them to watch films that they should have seen before I was even born!

Well I'm 20 and I've heard of all the films on the list. I've seen most of them infact when I was a lot younger. Even my eight year old nephew has seen Jaws.

Being a Film Studies student, i have actually seen all of the films mentioned in this thread :p

And as for not letting a 13 year old watch 'The Godfather', it's actually really tame by today's standarRAB, the odd strangulation/shooting and the ending shoot out montage are the only really violent bits. There is actually no strong language or sex. However i'd only let a 13 year old watch the film if i felt that they were mature enough not to be bored by it. I originally watched it when i was 10 and was bored out of my mind, but watching it years later i fully appreciate it (i got the Blu Ray boxset for 22 quid thanks to Zavvi's closing down sale :D).
