Films That Just Can't Watch

As the title says. This is about films that you just can't sit down and watch. My two are The Wizard Of Oz and The Sound Of Music. I don't know why, but those two films I just cringe at whenever I hear them. I either go to sleep or have to go in the next room and either play a game on my PC.

I think it could be that every Christmas those two films always seem to pop up on the TV listings somwhere.

What other films do you lot not like.

those areboth films ive been meaning to watch for ages just never got round to it i could neve rand would never watch spiceworld the movie

Anything with Brian Dennehy in. Even if I really want to see the film - like I saw a trailer for the remake of Assault on Precinct 13 today and it looked really good but its got him in it, so I'll probably pass..

Ben Hur

So many times I have sat down to watch the start of this film, dropped off, briefly revived during the leprosy scene then been woken up by the chariot race becoming full awake as the closing credits roll. I suppose it doesn't help it being shown after dinner on Christmas Day :)

Mulholland Drive.

I'd recently watched Lost Highway which I thought was a good thought provoking film so I hired Mulholland Drive (same director, David Lynch) - got half way through and gave up, just TOO wierd!

MAGNOLIA and JFK.
God knows I've tried enough times. I know they're both
great films with brilliant performances but I just can't get
more than about half an hour into either of them much as
I want to. I always end up falling asleep.

I have quite a long list of movies I can't watch

Mary Poppins
Ben Hur
Moulin Rouge
Days of Thunder (actually most movies starring either Nicole Kidman or Tom Cruise)
Gladiator
Titanic

Top Gun because its so irredeemably shite.

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover because its one of the worst films ever made.

Anything with Macauley Culkin in.

Attack Of The Clones because Hayden Christensen is such an appalling actor.

Anything with Richard Gere in.

Anything directed by Richard Curtis, especially Love Actually, because they're so horribly sickly sweet and sentimental, and I can't stand Hugh Grant.

Lord of The Ring -Fellowship of The Ring.(Fell Asleep)
Titanic- Gives me feelings of panic !
Poltergeist- I expected to be scared, I wasn't and got bored.

Nobody here seems to have sat down to see 'Hercules in New York'.

Its an Arnie film and so it should appeal to most looking for an action film

I challenge anyone to go for the full sitting.

Post away when youve hired it

Seen it, arguably one of the most hilarious films ever.

"This man is not Her-kull-eees. He looks nothing like me! Look!" (Takes off top in the middle of the street and starts flexing.)
