Films that everyone else's seen but you

There's been some wonderful films mentioned on this thread so far!

For me - It's a Wonderful Life. But, it's nearly Christmas so I'm sure I'll find it on one channel or another before the new year.

Oh, I also haven't seen Free Willy, but I'm not going to lose sleep over that (I'm guessing boy meets whale, boy loses whale, whale comes back, boy releases whale to live a better life against the wishes of some 'bad' men who want to make soup out of said whale......)

moza watch The Green Mile...you won't regret it.

Was left gobsmacked the other day when 2 frienRAB admitted they haven't seen Mary Poppins OR Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!!!

I tried watching the Green Mile. I got about half way through it -
where they're taking John Coffey out to see the warder's wife
and I just couldn't watch any further. I pretty much knew where it was going and I couldn't watch it.

Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary, although I did try to watch TSAM, but I gave up after about half an hour.

Strangely, I really enjoy Shallow Hal (enjoyed it so much, I bought a copy), which I understand was made by the same people.

BTW. Shallow Hal has one amazing soundtrack. After The Goldrush, Love Grows.

That's my kind of music!

I refused to watch its a wonderfull life for years thinking it would be sappy rubbish but its quite dark and yep a bit sappy but i cried like a baby!

I've got the Shawshank Redemption on dvd but never watched it because it was part of a prism leisure box set, and so at the price it is saved for another (rainy?) day when i have run out of more expensive full price sets and discs. At the price the disc was (as part of the 50 or so films it came with) it doesnt matter if it doesnt work or not, as it would cost me more to take it back to the shop to get it replaced!

Also Jurassic Park. seen the lost world on tv and the third one at the pictures but never got round to seeing the first one, missed it on tv (was out) :)

I have never seen - Crying Game, Name of the Father - I have always refused to watch anything to do with the IRA, The Patriot & Braveheart , U-571- to hate watch films where history gets distorted, Titanic - what was the point the ship sank and I hate Leonardo

Harry Potter , The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

I found that the more hype a film gets, the more rubbish it is!

I learned my lesson with 'Star Wars'!

I haven't seen any of the lord of the rings films yet....I've got them all, but haven't got around to watching them yet - the length put me off.

My 19 year old friend hadn't, until recently when I forced her to watch them, seen Dirty Dancing, Ghost, GREASE!!!...and other classics I can't remember...I just don't know how she has gone through 19 years of life and not stumbled across a classic like Grease when its on TV all the time and raved about by...well....everyone!

It had to be rectified!! haha so we had a classic film fest :D

Ok after reading everything on this thread I can add a whole lot more films, LOTR 2 & 3, Godfather, Fame, Braveheart, Gladiator etc.
