Just wondering what films you think represent a certain generation the best. Obviously each country has its own history and style, but when you think of a year what film springs to mind.

60's - Grease

70's - Dazed and Confused

80's - Breakdance

90's - Human Traffic

00's - 28 Days Later (does anyone know why I chose this)
 
60s - Quadraphenia
70s - Assault on Precinct 13 / The Warriors
80s - City of God
90s - Human Traffic / Boys in the Hood
00 - Dunno

'00's - 28 Days Later (does anyone know why I chose this)'. You chose this because it is a metaphor for the decadence and decay of modern society?

*Note: Grease is set in the 50s
 
Dirty dancing set in 1963 (not sure it represents UK but def america)

I think we had Cliff Richard's summer holiday:)

Love story and Kramer vs Kramer are good examples of movies set in the 70's

for the 80's things I hate about you and the wedding singer

Am stuck for any other decades
