My friend was going through her video/dvd collection the other day to ask what I wanted to watch she started naming films and I said Oh aint seen that one ... or that one and she actually looked offended like it was a part of life to watch these films! The ones I can remember are:

Labyrinth
Pulp Fiction
Indecent Proposal
Sleepless in Seattle
When Hary Met Sally
Grease 2

Anyway she has said every weekend I now have to go to hers and watch at least one of these films!

I was wondering has anyone else not seen a film and not really think they have missed out only to be told that you are a disgrace to society!!!! :p

I haven't seen The Shawshank (sp?) Redemption. Apparently that's bad:p

And Dirty Dancing. It's surprises people when i say I haven't seen it and I get told to watch it immediately.

I haven't seen loaRAB of movies that generally get highly rated. The Shawshank Redemption is one, Born on the 4th July is another, The Godfather (any of them) are others.

But then a lot of the time I watch movies that are recommended to me and think they are terrible. Someone told me to watch Event Horizon, saying it was their favourite film. And it is now probably in my top 5 worst films ever. :D Would much rather watch Transformers the Movie than that!

I've seen most of the so called 'classics' but I have never seen 'It's a Wonderful Life' all the way through despite the fact that it is shown on TV practically every Christmas.

I've to this day not seen acclaimed classics On The Waterfront or Chinatown.

I've seen Dirty Dancing once and that was enough,I can see how it is appealing to teenage girls or women that were kiRAB/teens when it came out but it's really nothing special at all.

There are quite a few, but these are the ones I can remember.

Godfather
Casablanca
Dirty Dancing
Independence day

I saw Sixth Sense for the first time last year. :o

Some popular films I've never seen include -

Casablanca
Memento
Once Upon A Time In America
Donnie Darko
Die Hard (any of them...just don't like the look of them)
Gandhi :D

The Godfather trilogy - I have this on DVD and have never got around to watching it... I love mafia type movies so I don't know why I haven't made time to watch it as I will probably enjoy it.

Harry Potter - Doesn't appeal to me at all.

Lord of the Rings - Again I have these on DVD and have not got around to watching, I will some day though. :D
