The big question I'm asking myself at the moment is whether to go to a film school or to an acting school in America/Britain. I love both, film making (as a director and editor) and acting and I have a lot of experience. What would you recommend? A lot of people tell me to go for a director-career, because actor is such a hard and unappreciative job...

well i personally feel acting school even though its hard, when u finally succeed all your hard work pays off
ur lucky u have a choice..ask people's opinions who are already in that field
if possible just take 2 days off and go to both the schools and see which draws your attention

You really need to go for what you feel the most passion for.

I'll tell you right now, both are going to be hard and competitive. Both have been underappreciated at times. But both are also very personally gratifying and both are appreciated by people in and out of the industry alike.

It's not a matter of which is more than the other. They both have their highs and lows. Both have entry points, and both have top positions.

It comes down to asking yourself what YOU value the most and would prefer to spend your life doing. No one can tell you otherwise.

good luck :)

i don't know about either of them much, but i do know that film directors and editors get paid a lot of money, however do what you enjoy and think your best at. :)
