Film of 2003 so far

I saw a preview of "Master and Commander" on Wednesday night and it really impressed me even tho I usually find action movies/swashbucklers difficult to take seriously.

Having sat through 2 disappointing "Matrix" sequels this year I'd have to rate "M&C" as the best of 2003 so far.

Go see next week (already opened a seperate thread to post on here)

G:)

X-men 2 was mint, hopefully in X-men 3 we will see the return of jean Grey as Pheonix and Gambit making an appearence, the Hulk however was god awful

I have been really suprised this year as my films I thought I wouldn't like, I do:

Finding Nemo
The Italian Job
Once Upon A Time In Mexico

While films I thought I would like, I don't

Charlies Angels 2
The Terminator 3

And of cuse there were the ones which were as expected:
American Pie 3 :D
X_Men 2
Jeepers Creepers 2

As I turned totally DVD and never go to the cinema anymore (mainly because of the popcorn eating, soda slurping spoilsports) I just realised I only saw one "2003" movie so far: Terminator 3 - The Rise Of The Machines.

So as this is the only one I saw, it is by definition the best (and the worst) one I saw. :D

B

final destination 2

lol i know every1's gona say 'ohhh that was pathetic'
but it was a great sequel - considering that everything in it linked with the 1st movie...

i thought it was pretty good.

Best of the bunch...

Kill Bill: Vol 1
In America
Spellbound
Good Bye Lenin!
Young Adam

American Splendor, Lost In Translation, The Last Samurai and 21 Grams look set to be crackers also.

Having just seen it on BBC (thank you very much Auntie Beeb) my vote for the best movie of this year is going to:

Belleville Rendez-Vous

Can't think of any other movie that comes even close
