Wonder if anyone can help us solve an argument at work!

There was a film on BBC1 a few weeks ago about a cop who was an author and a hitman approached him to write a book about his life story. He doesnt remember any of the actors name in the film though!

Sorry for the vague information but this is all the guy can remember about it! Anyone happen to watch it?

P.S. it was on BBC1 after a Bryan Ferry concert!
