Film endings you'd love to change

Nope, that was the point at which it actually got interesting for me! (and some of John Williams best music) Scrap the stuff before it.

The endings I would change, would be The Fellowship of the Ring, and The Two Towers - back to what they should be, as in the books.

Hollywood had nothing to do with it, BBM is probably the most faithful page to screen adaptations I've ever seen - although I've now got to the stage where I can only watch it up until Jack talks about a cow and calf operation - in my world Ennis says 'you bet' and they live happily ever after :o

I'd change the ending of The Ten Commandments so they find Milton Keynes instead.

And, because many people say it's too boring, I'd change the ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey to have a big f**k off space battle between the aliens & Dave.

I thought of that first, not wanting her to die and make them both sing and laugh at the Duke.

From Hell - i didn't want Aberline to die  but i guess he had to so she could be safe.

Yeah, Kirk's death in Generations is one of the worst things ever. I really hope they do give Shatner a cameo role in the new Star Trek film, even if it's right at the end, suggesting that Kirk lived in the end and there's still chance for him to have the classic death he deserves.

It's actually extremely easy to explain how Kirk is still alive. Simply say that the Kirk who died in Generations was an alt-Kirk that came out of the Nexus and the real Kirk was deposited somewhere else. The Search For Kirk.

That Nexus was one of the worst thought out swirly things in space ever. As is often pointed out, to defeat Malcolm McDowell all they had to do everytime they failed was to keep on going in and out of it until they won. Almost by definition some version of Picard and Kirk must still be in there.

I'm interested as to why you think that? I'm assuming it's because you've made your mind up that the ship does belong to the human project as opposed to there being ambiguity over the real owners of it.

Kirk's original Death was just a bad, he was shot in the back by Soran on the bridge. though in that version he had a nice line "you know the 24th century's not that bad".
this new kid had better not **** up Kirk, or ruin the time line. rant over.
