why would they come back after months of downtime say sorry for it and promise to be bigger than ever, and then go down again?? something isn't right...hoping it is an upgrade...(wishful thinking!!)

was on the site a few months back...deleted due to inactivity back then

never fancied the site much...the "games" were kinda fun but the content back then was fairly lacking imo

From their own site, after it came back online followoing their recent downtime, they stated:

filelist.org said:
Over the coming weeks/months there will be significant upgrades and changes made to the site and we will be reopening signups somewhere at random over the coming months for a few weekends. This to infuse our userbase with new blood because this has become a necessity rather then a nice to have item.

I've been checking on and off to see if their signups DO open up so I can join up myself but haven't been lucky enough to catch them.

And before anyone mentions it, a friend has an account so I was able to read their announcement :)

Been with them for years.

Gutted when the torrents dissapeared, delighted when they came back.

But yeah, can't access site now - hopefully it will be back soon, this was one of my first private sites.

Well, its 100% official now. Filelist is completely dead and can't come back.

If you visit them by their IP (not dns); google whois filelist.org

"Site is down for maintenance, check #filelist on EFnet for the latest news"

:shifty: no one has invites, i guess you will have to wait for a couple off months...

ps: it is not that special, if you are, used to sct.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, nothing really beats sct but i always keep my eyes open to other possibilities. You never know when something you are searching for might be on said tracker.
