U uuja New member Sep 25, 2009 #1 Chevrolet Sierra '89, 6-cylinder. New battery, turns over fine, gas okay. But no power to distributor. Is it likely an ignition switch problem? If so, how do I figure out which wire to temporarily hotwire? Or what other solution?

A action New member Sep 25, 2009 #2 If it has HEI the heavyer red wire would be the power to distributor. Should be labled where wires hook to distributor -- as in --\coil -- tack ign.
