Fighting fish compatible?

I have 7 Neon Tetras 5 Harlequins and a single Neon Dwarf Gourami. I was pretty sure Gourami and Fighters weren't compatible, can any one clarify this and clear things up for me? I really do want another fighter.
6 harlequins sorry. Not 5*
 
female bettas will live peacfully but not another male,he will not like the gourami because he looks like another male betta
 
Male betta's are not compatible with gourami's, their whiskers and fins will tempt the betta in thinking that he has encountered another male.

Female betta's will live peacefully alongside a gourami. Harlequin rasboras are schooling fish, they need to be in groups of six at a minimum to thrive, not five.
 
if theres more than one and they are introduced to the tank at the same time otherwise forget it.
