Bella How cool you still enjoyed it even though you knew the ending. Knowing the ending actually enhances a lot of the scenes, it's a trip to see it from Marla's perspective.

Brad Pitt was awesome in this. He had a perfect tone for the type of character that Tyler was.

Mavericks I'm about to read that article you posted. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah. And then people claim he's not much of an actor. Blindness. A critic recently talked about how the Coen brothers managed to make Pitt come across weird in Burn After Reading, as if this was an accomplishment on their part, and I'm like "Have you not seen all the other performances in which he's done weird and or wild perfectly?" Johnny Suede, Meet Joe Black, 12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Snatch, Fight Club. He's a master of weird. Pitt's a really unique actor with a talent for doing stuff most actors can't manage, and a lot of people refuse to see it -they're still stuck on the idea that he's just this pretty boy. He should have gotten an oscar for Fight Club, but the film was totally ignored by the oscars. Which is a classic example of how the oscars have nothing to do with what's quality.

Brad Pitt is brilliant at acting chaotic characters and characters who function by a totally different set of rules from everybody else and therefore seem like an unknown quantity. A key part of this making them seem terribly confident in their own choas. Outside of Fight Club, classic examples of this talent are in Burn After Reading, Meet Joe Black, Snatch, Kalifornia and 12 Monkeys. That ability of his is what makes Tyler Durden.

I love it! I'm not usually attracted to Brad Pitt, but he was pretty hot in this movie, as was Edward Norton. And using Pixies for the ending scene was AWESOME.

Ed Norton is..*swoons*

I just saw this movie this past winter so everyone I know had seen it and I was spoiled on the ending but it was still amazing.

NEVER TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!

I love it! Ordinary people and the modern-day consumer society. I like the style and Edward Norton :D It is a movie that I still think about even after I've watched it.

Here's an article about Fight Club and Calvin and Hobbes

Narrator: [voiceover] People are always asking me if I know Tyler Durden.
Tyler Durden: Three minutes. This is it - ground zero. Would you like to say a few words to mark the occasion?
Narrator: ...i... ann... iinn... ff... nnyin...
Narrator: [voiceover] With a gun barrel between your teeth, you speak only in vowels.
[Tyler removes the gun from the Narrator's mouth]
Narrator: I can't think of anything.
-----------------------------------

Tyler Durden: Would you like to say a few words to mark the occasion?
Narrator: mumbles...
Tyler Durden: I'm sorry...
Narrator: I still can't think of anything.
Tyler Durden: Ah... flashback humor.
