If you were given the chance to live in a fictional world that was based upon an animated work, and live the rest of your life interacting with the characters and doing the sorts of things that are typically done in the animated work, which fictional world would you choose? Please try to be elaborate if you can, and explain what it is about the fictional world that you like so much, as well as the sorts of things that you would want to do if the hypothetical situation were true.
I ask this question in all seriousness and I hope that people will take the time to share their thoughts, as even though it is merely a hypothetical question, it is one that could generate some interesting discussion and it could allow us to delve into the details in regards to what makes a good fictional world. Alas, I am incapable of answering my own question, but I will try to provide an answer should this thread prove to be successful.
 
Well, I think the most obvious answer for me:

The Looney Tunes World

Why? Simple. There's no real death or pain there. Sure there's an incredible amount on bodily injury you'll endure given on which characters you cross, but you'll also recover almost instantly.

Plus, given how well you master the laws of physics presented in that world, you could end up very well running the place after a while.

Plus there's a wide variety of characters ranging from animals to humans to aliens. Sure, there's a few mad scientists here and there, but as I said, master the LT's law of physics and you're on easy street.

It's not like you'd be living in the wild with Bugs and Daffy, either, as there are human cities in this world, you could easily live in, as the rents probably dirt cheap. Not to mention all the *celebrities* you'd get to meet.

I'd also imagine that this world extends to Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Freakazoid, and Pinky & The Brain, so there's literally no end to the characters you'd meet and adventures you'll have.
 
My choice would be my currently listed location: The Cartoon Suburbs.

That would be the suburbs of Animationland, where all manner of beings such as kid geniuses, secret agents, astronauts, rocket scientists, rock stars, superheroes, space aliens, wacky talking household pets and the like are likely to be found conspicuously (or not so conspicuously) tucked away in the 2-story houses with white picket fences. It's a short drive away from the Animationland City, where many toons' job offices are located and is sometimes the target of alien or supervillain attacks, but it's comfortably nestled away from all of that hustle and bustle.
 
Third for the looney tunes land , acme acres and Burbank studies just I can do insane stunts and defey the laws of pysices , also to hang out with the Warner brother characters and the same for Toontown for Disney jsut so I can talk to the big chees there.
 
I think the version of Hollywood presented in Who Framed Roger Rabbit would be cool to live in, where you just have to travel down a tunnel to visit Toontown whenever you want, and its inhabitants freely associate with humans on a regular basis.
 
See, I almost said Springfield, but then I remembered the nuclear power plant and the fact that all the town's authority figures don't know what they're doing. I doubt I'd enjoy living in a town where, as David Mirkin so eloquently puts is, "everyone is an idiot".
 
I remember thinking this would've been the most awesome thing ever when I first saw the film (I was about six), but even as an 18 year-old on his way to adulthood, the idea sounds pretty awesome (I'll grow old, not up, gorram it!).

Either that or the Looney Tunes world suggested above. That's what I love about animation or the more adventurous live-action filmmakers (Guillermo del Toro, Tim Burton, Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis to an extent): you can create your own universe, limited only by your imagination.
 
The Pokemon world: because I get a pet with superpowers! How awesome is that?!

Yu-Gi-Oh: Playing card games is alright, but playing card games with realistic holograms? That's even cooler!

DC Universe: Because the world needs heroes, and I could sleep safer knowing there are some.

And of course, a normal world with a Toontown, just like in Roger Rabbit. The question is, will there only be one Toontown in the whole world? What about toons that live on the east coast in elsewhere? What about toons in Japan, or other countries? Where do they live?
 
You've watched Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged, haven't you? :p

Anyway, I'd like to live in the worlds of Avatar, Ben 10, Hey Arnold!, One Piece, and Yu-gi-oh! (for the same above reasons). And the world of Pokemon from the video games; the more the anime added to it, the less special it became. As MartianInvader once said, the anime writers simply "never saw the potential in that world". Pity.

And I definately would NOT want to live in the world of Death Note. There you run the risk of dying because some lunatic decides to write your name in a notebook! :eek:
 
:sweat: Since no one has animated Dragonriders of Pern, Stormhawks would be the world I'd choose. Flying (an absolute must), crystal powers, cool villains, cute girls... As much as I like the characters of other shows, no other world looks like so much fun.
 
Id live in the world of Hunter X Hunter, id make the coolest Nen ability ever, after riping of Gensuru (bomber devil) and Hisoka's abilities first that it:D .
