Fever for 4 days....

I am a 19 yr old male.......I have had a fever ( temp. ranging between 100 - 103) for 4 days now without any other symtoms whatsover (except sometimes with a mild headache with pulsating pain).... It vanishes when I take crocin/tylenol and again comes back about an hour before the effect of the medicine is about to wear off ( about 8 hrs)...I dont understand whats going on and how long will i have to suffer like this.... pls help..

p.s. just before all this started i had diarrhoea for about 3 days which i didnt treat.. instead i took liquids/yoghurt/some rice ( as someone suggested)...the diarrhoea went away(made me a bit weak though) but now i have got this fever... does the motions have something to do with fever?? pls help asap...

It's difficult ti say whether or not your symptoms are all inter-related. Generally, this could be a viral illness (such as influenza). If over-the-counter pain relief isn't helping after four days, and you are still experiencing fever, in spite of taking these meds, I would seek medical advice. If you've been dehydrated because of stomach issues, then that may also explain your headache. A fever can also be dehydrating and cause a headache, too. Please be sure and drink as much clear fluid as you can tolerate.

If you can't get your fever under control by taking Tylenol as directed, over several days, it may be worth getting this checked out, to rule out any underlying infection or illness.
 
I have had low grade fever too for days had blood test looks good not sure they say sinuis infection but i have taking all of antibiotics not sure either any ideal hope u feel better soon
 
Thank you people for your suggestions...
Went to the doctor... had some blood tests done for malaria, dengue etc...
which came out negative.... doc suggested to come for a test again when i have a high fever ( chances of the parasites showing is high at that time)..
So, had a fever coming up again yesterday so went to the hospital and got my blood tested.. results today... i really hope i find some lead....
