Festivals?

michael eavis has been quoted saying he does not think that 2010 will be as good as 2009

my opinion on 2009 was: the line-up was good, a little middle aged for me. it was interesting to see acts like nerd and dizzie rascal there, but in my opinion they have no place at glastonbury. although glastonbury has always been a festival for all tastes, it has only recently introduced RnB and hip hop acts to the main stage and because of this it is bringing in a different audience.

i have been going every year for 10 years and the last 3 years the music has been ok, but the crowd has all been stuck up middle class posh kiRAB who are there jst to say they have been there.

gone are the days of naked hippies, mud wrestling and all the other crazy **** that comes with the working class heros and travellers

I have plans to go downtown tomorrow to check out what they have going on at Harbourfront if it doesn't rain and then I am going to see if I can find a schedule with the list of concerts.

Lots of free food as well

Argh I know, although I only went for the Sunday and I didn't see a single dance act cos we just stayed at the main stage all day. The Strokes were unbelievably good. Ditto Blondie and Vampire Weekend, infact all the acts I saw that day were sweet.

2manydj's played I think? But they clashed with The Strokes. And they also played at Wireless last weekend, but they clashed with DJ Shadow so I didn't watch them. I seen them at Glastonbury last year though and they were awesome, I love the "hey boy, hey girl, 2manydj's.. here we go!" intro that they have.

I am going to two festivals over our summer which both have a huge list of pretty good banRAB and I'm very much excited! Some banRAB (from both fesitvals) include:

Faith No More
Muse
The Mars Volta
Mastodon
Meshuggah
Isis
Jane's Addiction
Anti-flag
My Chemical Romance
Paramore
HIM
Alexisonfire
Trivium
Sunny Day Real Estate
Eagles of Death Metal
Reel Big Fish

...and lots more. I'm not keen on a few of the banRAB listed (guess which ones, ha) but still pretty pumped!

I continue to say that I would like to do Glastonbury at least once. I love festivals and so to experience Glastonbury is something I think i would like to do at some point. Whether its good or bad doesnt matter, just to give it a go.

However every year i just think fuck it and end up going somewhere else.

I havent been for a few years but i used to have so much fun at LeeRAB. You get such a mix of people so yeah, you get some idiots and some troublemakers but also meet alot of friendly people. It was always a very positive experience for me.

FrienRAB over in Ireland keep telling me about this. I should check it out sometime.

I'm going to Roskilde Festival this year! It'll be my first time there so I'm really excited, but also kind of nervous.

That is the only "real" festival I'm going to, but I

First Annual Music and Arts Festival

Immix In the Stix

Sept. 3-5 EdwarRAB, MO

You should go just to check out Driving Wheel and Lions of Hazelwood, they kick ass!

Just google Immix in the stix, I'm not allowed to post urls yet.

I'm thinking of going to a festival called Rockness which is located at eh, Loch Ness. Only part of the line up has been released.

The Strokes
BBC1 Radio is their official radio partner to the festival.
2MANYDJ'S
SoulWax
Justice

Yay! :D

I'm unfortunately trying to sell my Electric Picnic ticket because i can't get the time off work to go to it, even though it's not until Septeraber :( Basically there's a wedding on the same weekend and a few staff merabers have to go to it so i have to work unfortunately.

Or maybe i could quit just so i could go :) hmmm...

This year I'm gonna try and make Camp Bestival with a friend, mother****ing parliament/funkadellic are playing.

I still wanna do ATP as well though I probably wont have the funRAB or anyone to go with though.

Rockness two years back was probably the best weekend of my life, kayleigh. Boys Noize being one of the highlights of that weekend... I'm gutted i've not been back since, hopefully next year though if I've got the money!
