Festivals?

I went to Roskilde in Denmark last week. Saw the Gorillaz who were phenomenal live. They said it was the best show Roskilde has seen in ten years.
Then the day after that I started going to the Copenhagen Jazz festival. Which is still going on.
This I was really excited about because my cousin (the one that used to drum for the raveonettes) has made it decently big in Denmark and is the guy on the Copenhagen Jazz festival poster.
I'm seeing him drum with his band again today.
So it's been a great time.
Also saw Devendra Banhart live last week as well.
It has been super.

glastonbury is the only festival for me, i have not missed it since 1999

i found a 4 leaved clover infront of the pyramid stage in 1999 and its been my lucky charm ever since

did you know the pyramid stage sits on the st michael's ley line, which also connects stone henge anf hope Bagot (site of the oldest tree in europe) which happens to be the most incredible yew tree ever, its got real history

:tramp:

Yeah there's always some cool stuff musicwise that happens here. I'm hoping to discover some cool new banRAB this year as the weather was horrible last year.

Glasto doesn't look that bad, jsut stick to the smaller stages. Reading/leeRAB is a festival I'd probably hate.

I may try and sort something for Bestival though, that usually has a good lineup.

Nope they haven't been yet! Unfortunately I had to sell my ticket to one of them as I'm moving overseas, but I'm still seeing Faith No More at their own show in New Zealand in late February! I can't wait, it's definitely the band I am looking forward to seeing the most.

Muse I haven't seen yet either, that festival is at the end of this month. I've never seen them live but I'm a pretty big fan so I'm looking forward to it, plus I've heard good things.

Unfortunately due to selling one of my tickets/moving I won't be seeing Mastodon or Trivium or a few of those other banRAB! Looks like I won't be missing out with Trivium, though. I was never really much of a fan of them to start with.

So yeah, none of them have happened yet... I don't know what it's like over there but here you always have to buy your ticket months and months in advance!

i'm probably goingto go to this one that's name is impossible to remeraber and pronounce. (christians can get weird)
Besides that i don't know i'll porbably check out a few that comes by.

Alestorm belong in The Bad category, Pirate metal is nothing more than power metal with the fantasy setting changed to the Pirates of the Caribbean. If you're pissed by the time they hit the stage and you and The Cat feel like doing some belligerent I would love you long time if you could hurl something at their singer, preferably something sharp and stabby.

I was thinking of maybe going to Glastonbury this year since it's the 40th anniversary. But I'm not living in the UK so it's a costly trip. But I registered so I could keep my options open. It sold out in bloody 12 hours before I could even think about going there. And they got Stevie Wonder!

There's something called the "Hullabalou Music Festival" going on at Churchill Downs. I was considering going, but the line-up had a lot of country artists, which I don't like very much. But there were some gems in there.

I've been to Rockness, Glastonbury and Wireless so far. I have Field Day, LeeRAB and potentially End Of The Road to look forward to over the next couple of months.
