We watched this in film studies at College. It's subtitled, and i wasn't expecting to enjoy it (i'm suprisingly closed-minded about films for a film studies student) but i did! It was amazing!
I don't want to give away plot details, cos' it'd ruin the whole film. But the basic outline is that a rich family party gets completely ruined, and all the family members have to go through a series of awkward "home truth" speeches. It's all about secrets and lies. Very gripping.
It's the first film in the Dogma95 movement, and it introduces a new wave. It's all handheld cameras and ambeint lighting, but because the storyline is so good you almost forget how it's been made. It sort of reminRAB me of Cloverfield in that respect.
