This is definately one of my favorite movies. Ferris Bueller is like, the kis every wishes they could be.

 That's so cool!

Okay, this is just weird! I was just on the imdb page for Ferris Bueller, looking up the different actors and what they'd been in, and an ad came up between the pages loading for Nationwide Insurace saying "Life Comes at You Fast" It's just scary similar to the quote from the movie, "Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it." Maybe, it's just me, but I thought it to be pretty freaky.

"Bueller, Bueller..." all these years later, and I still quote that line, how sad am I?

A true classic and I'd have to say it is one of the ultimate feel-good movies

And I agree that Cameron was a great character. Alan Ruck is a great actor and it's just a shame he never became a bigger star

There are just so many classic scenes and lines that it is hard to choose favourites.

This film also has one of my favourite bits of useless movie trivia. All of the Bueller family were involved romantically with another Bueller family member during shooting. Matthew Broderick (Ferris) was dating Jennifer Grey (Ferris' sister Jeanie) and Cindy Pickett and Lyman Ward (Ferris' parents) where also dating each other and ended up getting married after the film

When Cameron was in Egypt's land, let my Cameron go.

That line just came to me when I was doing the laundry. I think I'm going to pop in the DVD in a bit.

Yeh, that car scene at the beggining is hilarious! Cameron is the funniest character!

I love this movie. Cameron is my favorite character. The scenes where he's lying in bed and when he's in the car debating whether he should hang out with Ferris are my favorite Cameron moments.

Yeh, that quote is amazing!
And I was surprised there wasn't a thread for FBDO yet too.

Btw guys, what's your favorite scene?
I just love the 'Twist and Shout' one! :D

I love Ferris Bueller! I'm suprised this is the first thread for it, it's such a classic teen movie. And who could forget that famous quote, 'life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.'

:)

Sadly, I was just on the other side of too old for this film - too long out of highschool. Had I been a year or two younger I'm sure I would have loved it as much as everyone else, but it just never did anything for me (as opposed to Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which was much more my generation).

Still, it's entertaining and there's no question it's a classic. Thanks for the thread! :)

I just realized there isn't a thread for Ferris Bueller's Day Off! I know it's pretty old, but it's a classic movie. :)
And it's also an amazing film, so I decided to create this thread :)

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) ;)

So... does anybody else love this movie? :look:
