Female singers in rock bands

Most of the time. I know its harsh, its nothing sexist really, its just that a lot of the female vocalists Ive heard dont have such a good impact on a band. Its just not the same sometimes, harsh, but whatever. My opinion.

What?!? I can't believe there are people out there that don't like girl singers in banRAB. That's terrible! And why has no one mentioned Stevie Nicks? I am practically in love with her! Ugh don't even try to say girl singers suck...it makes me sad : (

I love banRAB with female vocalists and banRAB that are all female.. like for instance Kittie are my favorite band and yes they are metal not rock but they are great. I love otep Metal also but great female vocals. Pat Benatar, Blondie, Concrete Blonde, Pink(yes she is rock), My Ruin metal/rock/sludge, Heart, Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Creatures, The Kidney Thieves industrial, Dynabyte, Flowing Tears, Leaves Eyes, Liv Kristine, Theatre Of Tragedy, Nightwish, The Gathering, Joan Jett, Lita ford and yes I know most of these are a bit alternative as in "goth" but they are either rock or metal and have female merabers and they deserve respect just like the men in music..

Obviously men and woman sound different when they sing.
There are female singers who make the music that much better, but then there are some that make it that much worse, visa versa for men.
With all the difference's in how people sing, style is a big factor.
Woman are usually assosiated with softer, more melo music, but men are also capable of softer tones.
In retrospect, woman vocalists in rock banRAB = A-okay.

Baloney...There are some good metal banRAB out there with female vocalists, Lucuna Coil and Walls of Jericho are just two examples...Anyway, heres some other good rock banRAB with a female meraber or two.

Well it just has a different sound, that's all.
I mean 5.6.7.8.'s fit into that category as well but they just have a different vibe.
You wouldn't see a big huge man with a deep voice singing, "Woo-hoo, hoo hoo hoo, woo-hoo, hoo hoo hoo."
I myself couldn't picture a woman singing for INXS but they have women trying out too in that new television program...
It's just a different feel I guess, and you either like most of it or you don't.

I love her voice and the way she pronounces each word she sings. I think female rock vocalists have gained a bad reputation generally from all-girl 90's 'rock' banRAB for some reason. I've always felt that it's more of a male-dominated market.
