female guidelines for navy boot camp?

I went to boot camp in FEB 2001 and they will provide you with razors so don't bring any. We were not allowed to shave most of boot camp. The only times we were was going to go to the pool for swim qualification and for Battle Stations. We were not allowed to tweeze AT ALL. The RDC knew if you did and would "beat you" (make you PT like crazy) Your division might do things differently but I doubt it. Good luck with boot camp.

I can't answer your question...just wanted to wish you well on your training and thank you for your service. Stay safe.

i am leaving for boot camp soon and i have questions about Feminine Hygiene. i know they will cut my hair and all that but what about shaving? will i be able to? should i bring razors? tweezers? i know im not going to be trying to impress anyone but these are things id like just for me. any help is appreciated.

the razors i would say no, they provide them and during your holiday routine the girls in my division got to shave but that was once a week. also don't plan on the NEX being available like a candy shop. i only got to go 2 times with my division. you might be lucky to go to ricky heaven and make a phone call. i got really lucky and went like 3 times and 2 of them being for thanksgiving and christmas also i earned one phone call. it depends on the RDC and trust me i graduated boot camp janurary 2 2009 and your first days will be a little depressing and having to wake up at 4 in the morning to redrover to do medical. plan on this though, the second you get fit for full duty on your record you will get beat because once we all had it i remember we got beat. you're lucky though because you will recieve the uniform i just bought which is the camies which cost a shit load. i only bought one set. also you wont have to spend 30 minutes every night at like 2 in the morning ironing a pair of utilities. well hope you have fun in there and good luck!
