Has anyone noticed the less than subtle emergance of female protagonists in many action films over the lest few years? e.g. Kill Bill, Tomb Raider, Charlie's Angels, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Anyone got any opinions about why this is? To broaden demographic appeal perhaps? To revive a rather tired genre? Is it a reflection of a great movement in society or more a business phenomenon?
