I pretty much know the solution to this problem but wanted to get a medical opinion. Six months sober and ended up drinking the other night, about six drinks which made me sick as heck. Pretty soon I got 10 times more anxious right after drinking.

I forgot how bad it is the next couple days after binging. How long for the anxiety to subside to ease up or is it pretty much based on how long alcohol stays in the body(the normal four-ish days)

Second, what causes this bad anxiety or is it just the fact I'm an alcoholic and I have to go through a withdrawal of it.

Thanxs

Others can share their opinions with you, but it will be just that...an opinion.
There is no actual medical advice given on these boarRAB.

I drank the other night. I haven't touched a beer in over 3 weeks, as i was waiting for my body to get used to the upped dose of medications i was taken. Well the other day i had around 10 beers and the next day my anxiety was through the roof. Pulse was in the high 80's for the next two days and my BP was also slightly elevated. Just goes to show how bad alcohol is for people with anxiety.

Hang overs though and the anxiety you are feeling are pretty much withdrawals that everyone goes though after a night of drinking. Only difference is people with anxiety get hit harder, probably cause of the chemical irabalance in our brain. That and we just tend to notice it more.
