Feels like my hair is being pulled out

Taking chemo and about to begin radiation but I have a new symptom. The top and back of my head is hurting so bad . It feels like my hair is being pulled out by the roots. I noticed it is starting to fall out a little bit and will probably loose it after a few more treatments but is this normal to feel this pain.Even to touch my hair hurts, is this normal or something else to worry about. It is 4 am and it hurts so bad it woke me up and I can't sleep. Can anyone tell me what this is all about. Thanks
