Feeling nothing during sprinting?

I went jogging in the evening for about 20 minutes fast paced. As I was about to reach my destination I decided to totally wear my self out and sprint with everything I got, something happened to me that never did before, as I was sprinting I felt absolutely nothing than my lungs squeezing out air. I could not feel my feet hitting the floor or my stomach thinning down.

It felt very weird as if I was playing a video game, or watching a movie, and felt like I could go faster, and faster with no fatigue, and no it wasn't numbness.. Has this happened to anybody else, and is there a medical term for this?

If it makes any difference I'm 18 years old male.

I believe you are referring to a "runner's high". It is caused by the production of endorphins. When enough are produced during certain situations like exercise you get an endorphin rush or "runner's high".

It may simply be the fatigue of a 20 minute fast paced run wearing out your senses. This happens to me during XC races, at the last 100 meter stretch with my kick. But in those instances, I do not feel as if I can go faster, usually the exact opposite.

You're endorphins may have also kicked in. Endorphin is a chemical that is released when your body is running and tired. They can make the runner feel energized and untired.
