'Feel good' films

I was wondering if anyone can help me with some 'feel-good' films. My friend's ill at the moment, I'm going to see her tomorrow and would like to take some films from the rental shop to take her mind off things.

I was thinking mainly of action movies with comedy running through, eg... trying to think of a good example, something like True Lies, but more recent? She's not really into chick-flicks like Bridget Jones.

Thanks in advance. :)

50 First Dates - A delightfully sweet, feel good rom-com. It's got Drew Barrymore, who radiates and shines throughout. Not sure if it's a 'chick-flick' though, if it is, it's a good one.

Action with comedy - Kung Fu Hustle!!! Go for it! But prepare for subtitles, not sure if it's dubbed if you don't like the subs.

Snakes on a Plane - Complete rubbish, but perfect action mixed with comedy. Again, not feel good, has lot's of death in it.

Kung Fu Hustle is a great idea, thank you!

I own 50 First Dates and adore it (I think it's one of the sweetest films of recent years, without being cringeworthy or 'sickly') but am pretty confident she won't be keen... she doesn't like Adam Sandler.

Snakes on a Plane is another good one, deaths won't bother her I don't think, as long as it's nothing too harrowing - she loves action comedies and thrillers.

I thought How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days was a nice film!

Im not a fan of chick flicks either but this is pretty easy going...must mention (providing she hasnt seen it) Meet The Parents...brilliantly funny...always makes me feel good when i watch it :)
