I have an 06 Grand Vitara. Its got about 33,000 miles on it now and I have had two issues with it so far.
One day I lost my Power steering. It was an idler pulley. Something about them being made of a hard plastic with a steel cover? I don't remember. They fixed it under warranty and the other issue was the cd player quit ejecting cd's. Got a new stereo out of that one.
Those I would not hold against the Grand Vitara though. It has been a solid, reliable rig. I love it!! I cant wait for it to get "old" so I can retire my "old zuki" (a 94 Sidekick) and use the Grand Vitara for wheelin'!!
