I am not afraid to drive a car but I don't like being the passenger at all since i dont know where someone is driving me to so I have to be the driver. I also don't like to drive to far from home maybe 15 or 20 min away but that's it and it has to be someplace I know where I'm going .I can go on the highway but I freak out about big bridges and almost passed out once cause a bridge was so high up and big and now I wont go over them at all haven't for years .needless to say when people ask me to go places I always tell them I'm busy.Im taking paxil seems to help a little bit but not much.im a really nervous person.I have had anxiety problems for years and can even work anymore cause of it.I really don't think there's anything that can help me.but I wish sometimes I could go places but the anxiety and panic attacks are so bad I cant seem to go to far.does anyone else have this problem fear of going over brides and cant travel to far away from your home maybe 15 or 20 min away like me.like I said that's on back roaRAB no on highways.its really bad and no matter what pill they give me is doesn't help.just wondering if I'm the only one with this problem

I'm terrified of flying. I have to take Valium before I can board an airplane.

I have to take some everyday. I take a part of .25 or .5, not sure, about 2 hours before I leave the house! When it decides not to work, I just pull over or go into a store or something, and it will go away. I haven't driven on the freeway in years. I am now able to be a paasenger on the freeway, so that is a step up! lol, I will not give up, I will refuse to let this win, no matter how scarey it can be. Hope this helps

Some antidepressant/anti-anxiety meRAB take 30 days or more to become fully effective.
