It depends, bud. If you need a maritime rescue, SEAL Team 6 is your best bet. If you are in an austere hostile, or particularly difficult environment, Delta Force are your boys. But, chances are, you are only going to be rescued by your local SWAT team. Even local or county SWAT teams undergo hundreds of hours of training and certification and are no slouches. (But, let's face it, everyone is a slouch when you compare yourself with the elite.) In the international scene, the SAS and the German GSG-9 are touted as being as good as, if not better than the most elite American units. It's all dependent on the situation and terrain.
