Favourite Teen Film

I've always thought "Clueless" was right on the money and is probably still the best Teen flick I've ever seen. A very talented young cast, and the writing was A-Class. A very poignant, candid and realistic look at Teen Culture in the 1990's. A classic IMO.

Richard Donner said that the feel of a sequel wasn't going to be equal to the original, so decided not to go with a sequel.

I'd say my favourite teen movies are:

Heathers
Ferris Beuller's Day Off
The Lost Boys
Clueless
Mallrats

Goonies - All time best old movie and still great now, total fun and feel good movie!

Hope Floats (Sandra Bullock) & City Of Angels (Nicholas Cage) - Two Oldish movies which will make you laugh and move you to tears everytime!

Con Air (Nicholas Cage) - Great old action movie that has it all!

Oh forgot BMX Bandits - another classic old movie that made you feel great at the time, remember my brother thinking it was amazing!

A lot of you mention eighties teen films such as The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink ... this links to my dissertation, and I was wondering why you think these films are still enjoyed by teenagers (and adults!) today?

I'm 15 and I have to say that my favourite teen movies are from the 80s. My favourites would have to be The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller and Weird Science. I also love Mean Girls,Clueless,Coyote Ugly and Cruel Intentions. 10 Things I Hate About You is my ultimate favourite though.

Rebel Without A Cause ( I can't believe that many people haven't mentioned this classic teen movie which was also the catalyst that started off the teen genre in Hollywood)

Other great teen flicks -
The Breakfast Club
Election
Cruel Intentions
Clueless
The Goonies
10 Things I Hate About You

I like 1 and 2. I think the others in the main trilogy and spinoRAB aren't as good.

I'm partial to teen comedies- I also like Not Another Teen Movie (spoof) and Road Trip :o
