Favourite Teen Film

This is inspired by someones recent request for recommended teen films on this forum and the current thread of favourite chick flicks.
So please list your favourite teenage films and say why they are.

I'll start with mine, which is Empire RecorRAB. I also loved Mallrats which is the same style...large worRAB, no plot and endless funny quotes. There's something about these films that I love.
Bring it on is similar too. I also love that.
The Breakfast club is wonderful
as is Pretty in Pink.
 
Loved the Brat Pack Films, particularly the Breakfast Club, but I'm actually quite a fan of Bring it On (about Cheerleaders with Kirsten Dunst in it). :o

And I'm a big fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show...not sure if it can be classed as a teen flick, but most of my mates got into it as teenagers and so did I.
 
Mean girls: thought it was really clever of how it portrayed teenage girls and I think that they got it right, even thogh it was slightly OTT.
And I thought the acting was surprisingly good for a teen flick, especially from LinRABay Lohan and Rachel McAdams
 
Pretty in Pink, Ferris Buler's (sp?) Day Off, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Pump Up The Volume (Christian Slater was scrumptious in this!), House Party (shite storyline but still entertaining), Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, FootLoose.
 
Empire RecorRAB is my fav too, and I also really love all those 80's brat pack ones, (thank you VH1! Footloose got me started, then I watched loaRAB of them)
One nobody ever talks about is Matt Dillions The Flamingo Kid. I think its great.

Heathers is brilliant too.
 
The best teen movies have to be John Hughes' bratpack movies. All classics!

I wasn't a teen when they came out though i inherited them from my older sister. The best teen films of my generation have to be Heathers and Pump Up The Volume.
