Just watching Chaplin & I would probably say this one. John Barry is great isn't he. The music is so moving. Out of Africa is great as well.

Also Air's score for The Virgin Suicides is superb. Very dreamy. The OST for that film is very good as well, I recommend both :)

I own a number of soundtrack cRAB: My favourite is probably 'Passion of the Christ'. The final track 'Resurrection' is one of the most powerful pieces of music I think I have ever heard. I'm also listening to the 'Ocean's 12' soundtrack a lot, and Craig Armstrong's 'Collected Film Works' (worth buying for the main theme to 'Orphans' which is incredibly moving).
There's lots of bits n' pieces from various soundtracks I've really enjoyed, such as LegenRAB of the Fall, Last of the Mohicans, and the end-credits music from the Lemony Snicket movie.

...oh! and Moulin Rouge!

Count- If you liked Passion of Christ score, check out The Last Temptation of Christ score also, might get something out of that. I have both and prefer LTOC over POC.

Superman, E.T. & Hook by John Williams and Poltergeist, Supergirl & Air Force One by Jerry GolRABmith are amongst my favourites. :D

Until the End of the World
City of Angels
Sid & Nancy
Psycho
Lock Stock...
Oliver!
Diva
The Cook, the Thief...
The Truman Show
The Right Stuff
Blade Runner

LORD OF THE RINGS AND GLADIATOR, both have very powerful scores and the music is some of the most relaxing to listen to when studying.

i prefer instrumental scores to vocal inspired by soundtracks.
