Favourite scenes from films

Clark Kent (Christopher Reeve) going through the revolving doors, changing to Superman, saying 'Excuse me' and then whooshing up to rescue Lois Lane from the crashed helicopter, all accompanied by John Williams' heroic theme in Superman The Movie.

Gets me every time. :)

The scene in American Beauty when the cheerleaders are performing, and suddenly the music changes as the object of Spacey's desire does a little dance only he can see :D

Another Sam Mendes film scene I love is the one where Tom Hanks has come to kill Paul Newman, and its pouring with rain.

The end of 'The Return of the King' when Frodo goes 'into the West' with Bilbo etc. even though some of the back shots are a bit strange.

And the Reunion scene in 'Brokeback Mountain' where Jack and Ennis (Jake and Heath) lock lips rather nicely...

The scene I think that's better is the duel/lynching at the very end when we learn why Henry Fonda is walking towarRAB us and what he makes the young boy do.

Sergio Leone = genius.

Alot of good ones, although Road to Perdition is a gem of a film and the scene mentioned with Hanks and Newman is a gret one.

I also like Paul Newman as a ne'er-do-well in the sleeper film (Nobody's Perfect?) with Bruce Willis when hes playing poker. He has won the lawyers wooden leg and the town sherrif's gun. Or the scene where he upsets his only friend, a slightly dimwitted guy, who he follows down the sidewalk in his car, until a cop arrives.

The scene in Kenneth Brannah's Henry V where Katherine of France (played by Emma Thompson) is trying to learn some English from her Lady in Waiting before meeting Henry.
I find it Laugh-Out-Loud funny.
