favourite non-English language film?

Nightwatch - - vampire tale - good vs evil - really hard to follow though, i watched it about 20 times and still dont get what the middle bit about the funnel is all about...

Tale of Two Sisters - I love a good twist and even though it was obvious - swear i never saw it coming !

Oldboy - Does this really need an explanation!?

I would have to agree with most of the Japanese films mentioned. It surprises me that Hollywood hasn't murdered Battle Royal yet, considering the hash jobs they did with The Grudge, Dark Water and The Ring.

Actually I take that back, seems they are making a US version of BR. :o I am already hating it, entitled The Condemned its a thinly veiled version of BR starring Steve Austin and Vinnie Jones.

I like Chungking Express, Infernal Affairs and Central Station, and Whisper of the Heart - a Studio Ghibli film :)
Oh and Pan's Labyrinth - how could I forget!

"Philistines. I mean how can you re-make Cassablanca? The one starring Myra Dinglebat and Peter BearRABley was definitive. "

(I know I've posted it before, but it's just so good :p )
