Favourite Musical?

Sound of Music
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
The Music Man
Singing in the Rain
South Pacific

And while certainly not putting it in my top 100, or anywhere close, I just saw Disney's latest, High School Musical, and despite me being neither 15 nor a girl, found myself enjoying it immensely.

Well, bits of it, anyway.

File it under guilty pleasure.

Singin in the Rain
Oliver!
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Calamity Jane

When I was younger I watched SBFSB so many times my parents were starting to worry, great film!

Moulin Rouge
Meet Me in St Louis
Annie (1982 version: 1999 version had some redeeming features (reinstated NYC for example), but they cut too much out to make the 2 hour time slot)
Sound of Music
Mary Poppins
Chitty
Chicago
Grease
Singin' in the Rain
Rocky Horror Picture Show

Obviously I've only stuck to film musicals here - the majority of my favourites have not been filmed (bit of a musical theatre buff and performer)

Oh, and I agree. Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music is a fantastic night out!

At the risk of sounding predictable...

Singin' in the rain!

But also love...

Calamity Jane
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (yes, correct - bit of a thing for Howard Keel, the voice makes me go weak at the knees!)

Mine has to be a list of favourites in no particular order:

The Wizard of Oz
Wicked
Sweet Charity
The Phantom of The Opera
Chicago
The Harvey Girls
