Favourite Movie Of All Time

Breakfast at Tiffany's, Phantom of the Opera, Sound of Music, Chicago, To Wong Foo, Rear Window and Dear Frankie. All fabulous movies for very different reasons.

My all-time favourite movie would probably be American Beauty.

Others include:

8 Mile
Alien
AI: Artificial Intelligence
Blade Runner
A Clockwork Orange
Gone With The Wind
Grease
Toy Story 2
Fight Club
Mystic River
Saturday Night Fever
The Terminator
Jaws
Saving Private Ryan
Schindler's List
The Shawshank Redemption
Platoon
The Exorcist
Psycho
Halloween
The Shining
The Sixth Sense

Jerry Maguire (and I hate tom Cruise, but this movie is my favorite)

Blow (great movie, great soundtrack, great actors)

American History X (Really makes you think about how horrible people are)

Dumb and Dumber (classic)

I still am in awe when I watch Blade Runner.

What a shame that it has still not reached DVD because of so many copyright and other arguments. :( I don't count the anaemic WB release from several years ago at all.It should be at least two discs, perhaps even worthy of three.
I read the book about the making of the film and have appreciated it even more since then.Just amazing.

I haven't checked the gossip about any possible release lately.Several times over the last couple of years I have read rumours, but have been disappointed every time.

Dumb and Dumberer was dreadful to watch and it didnt do justice to the original (horrible prequal)

Dude, Where's my car? was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

I quess we have different tastes in movies :)

Shawshank Redemption
A Time To Kill
In The Name Of The Father
Star Trek - Insurrection
Muriels Wedding
The Matrix
Wizard of Oz
The Dish
The Castle
Priscilla Queen of the Desert

I'm sure there are many more but I find these watchable over and over again (well perhaps not Wizard of Oz but it's a childhood memory thing...)

Airplane
(yeah I know - once you've seen it 6 or seven times it wears off, but I still thought it was brilliant & outclasses the sequels and the imitators)
Salvador
Dogma
Jacob's Ladder
(even though I can't really understand it, I have my ideas as to what's going on & my confusion draws me back to watch it again)
Once upon a time in China
Le Flic
A Night at the Opera
The Pink Panther

Like everyone else - ask me in an hour & I'll probably have added more. Gonna click 'send' now cause I've already started adding more.

I loved Kill Bill Vol1 and 2, The Sixth Sense is up there in my Favorites, The Assasin, Pretty In Pink (i know cheesy but takes me back to the 80s), Jaws, Fight Club, American History X. Oh I don't know too many to mention I suppose.
