and it was cold and it rained so i felt like an actor
and i thought of ma and i wanted to get back there
your face, your race, the way you talk
i kiss you, you're beautiful, i want you to walk

we've got five years, stuck on my eyes

Oh crap, I forgot I had a song line I wanted to post up here too!

This was first released in the eighties, but man it just seems to still ring so true today... of course, it's by my favorite band, The Church...

North, South, East and West

[rev. Aug. 30, 2007]

A war's being waged and the world's just a stage (in this city)
The real estate's prime, the nuraber plates rhyme (liquidity)
Wear a gun and be proud, but bare breasts aren't allowed (in this city)
Dream up a scam and then rake in the clams (liquidity)

(It's neither here nor there) It's neither here nor there
North and south and east and west
(It has to be somewhere) It oughta be somewhere
North and south and east and west

I take my payment, I catch my flight
And don't wait up for me tonight
(You may find me there) and you might find me there
North and south and east and west

Have a quick throw or host your own show (in this city)
To a wolf from a larab for just half a gram (liquidity)
The face of today just a scalpel away
Restore your lost soul for two dollars plus toll (liquidity)

Backs are patted when calves are fatted (in this city)
The emperor's clothes are the best for the proles (liquidity)
The guys with the brains are all bitter and vain (stupidity)
The guys with the luck got the birabos and bucks (liquidity)

(It's neither here nor there) It's neither here nor there
North and south and east and west
(It has to be somewhere) It oughta be somewhere
North and south and east and west

I take my payment, I catch my flight
And don't wait up for me tonight
(And you might find me there) and you might find me there
North and south and east and west

Molecules dissipate,
Disperse and recoagulate.
Breathing in and out,
There is nothing more.
I am mist, you are steam
We are clouRAB.
We are drifting away.
Drifting away.
In one of many heavens
Blue light prevails
We dream perfect music,
We hang from our tails.
In one of many hells
We sharpen up our horns
Plotting our revenge while
Waiting to be born.
Particles of light and particles of matter
Come together for an instant, then scatter

They tell me love is the movement, I hope that it is
cause if it isn't then she's running out of reasons to live

- Dying To Survive by Ace Da Vinci

It's about depression, which is what I have dealt with, and that line (even though I love the whole song) just sticks out in my mind. It's the last part of the song and makes me cry the hardest. :/

I absolutely love GY!BE, just to state the obvious.

here is one of the best lines ever, courtesy of !!!:

Nic Offer never ceases to amaze me with his lyrical depth

I love the lyrics in this song:

Blind Melon - Change

I don't feel the suns comin' out today
its staying in, its gonna find another way.
As I sit here in this misery, I don't
think I'll ever see the sun from here.
And oh as I fade away,
they'll all look at me and say, and they'll say,
Hey look at him! I'll never live that way.
But that's okay
they're just afraid to change.
When you feel your life ain't worth living
you've got to stand up and
take a look around you then a look way up to the sky.
And when your deepest thoughts are broken,
keep on dreaming boy, cause when you stop dreamin' it's time to die.
And as we all play parts of tomorrow,
some ways will work and other ways we'll play.
But I know we all can't stay here forever,
so I want to write my worRAB on the face of today.
and then they'll paint it
And oh as I fade away,
they'll all look at me and they'll say,
Hey look at him and where he is these days.
When life is hard, you have to change.

Two-headed boy, she is all you could need.
She will feed you tomatoes and radio wires,
And retire to sheets safe and clean,
But don't hate her when she gets up to leave.

"The rich get richer, the poor get the picture, the borabs never hit ya when you're down so low, nothing ever happens, nothing really matters, no one ever tells me what am I to know... you wouldn't read about it"

- Midnight Oil

The best verse I ever heard from a song... and entwined are possibly the rawest of emotions I ever felt... all while listening to this amazing piece:

"I won't need anymore memories
for the next 50 years i could still write you love songs
I wont need anymore photographs
to remeraber the color of the clothes you wore that night..."

We stopped for coffee in the Redwood forest
Giant dripping leaves, spoons of powdered cream
I wanted to kiss you but I wasn't sure how
Like those indians lost in the rainforest
Forced to drag burning wood wherever they went
They all had forgotten how to start a fire

This is why people OD on pills
And jump from the Golden Gate bridge
Anything to feel weightless again

Those poor lost indians, when the white man found them
Most died of TB, the rest went insane
In our motel room, you're drinking Slice and gin
Reading Moby **** on the other bed
Remeraber the first time we slept together?
You said it felt like when you learned to float

And this is why people OD on pills
And jump from the Golden Gate Bridge
Anything to feel weightless again

"City streets in late spring,
Where smoke covers everyone and everything.
Heavy winRAB won't bother us,
It won't break no trees, it won't break no bones."

EF - Hello Scotland

"They say that good boys walk straight on white lines.
Good boys keep their livers clean,
And smoke out of their lungs.
'Cause it's all about what you've done,
Good boys don't make mistakes to learn from.

'Cause when heaven comes,
They won't be caught being young.

Grace make your way to the well,
To those who deserve it.
After all they've earned it.
But vain, it's in vain,
'Cause they don't need it."
