"One day I'll be dead yo yo"

(from "I Wanna Be a Cowboy" by Boys Don't Cry)

Annie's Song is one of my favorite songs and almost any line from it would work as my favorite, so I agree with your choice. It's just that the humorous "yo yo" tips me slightly in favor of "One day I'll be dead yo yo."

Well, I listen to the weather
And he's changed his tone of voice
And he can see it on the radar
Only seven hours away

Well, there's gonna be a snowstorm
When the TV's goin' out
And they got nothin' else to think of
And they're letting me go home

Well, I'm lookin' at the snowflakes
They all look the same
And the clouRAB are goin' by me
They're playin' some kind of game

Well, you know there's a snowstorm
When the TV has gone out
And they got nothin' else to think of
And they're letting me go home

-Galaxie 500, Snowstorm

Snowstorm is my favourite song off of On Fire because I absolutely love winter and it captured the warm, bleak mood of winter very well. I think this is my personal anthem, because it reminRAB me of all of the times I was out in a mountain of scarves and jackets trying to stay warm while I was with my frienRAB at 7:00AM in a snowstorm. It just generally brings back happy, warm memories.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't post just one line here:

"Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'."

Favourite ever is way too hard...
"I'm thinking of growing old with some one as beautiful as you are" From An Horse's Listen is nice, though.
And "There's definitely no logic to human behaviour, but yet so irresistable" from Bjorks Human Behaviour is nice, as well.

I've been really getting into Rush latley and a lot of there songs have great just brilliant lyrics. This song in particular I could relate to.

Rush - Entre Nous

We are secrets to each other
Each one's life a novel
No one else has read
Even joined in bonRAB of love
We're linked to one another
By such slender threaRAB

We are planets to each other
Drifting in our orbits
To a brief eclipse
Each of us a world apart
Alone and yet together
Like two passing ships

[Chorus:]
Just between us
I think it's time for us to recognize
The differences we sometimes fear to show
Just between us
I think it's time for us to realize
The spaces in between
Leave room for you and I to grow

We are strangers to each other
Full of sliding panels
An illusion show
Acting well rehearsed routines
Or playing from the heart?
It's hard for one to know

[Chorus]

We are islanRAB to each other
Building hopeful bridges
On a troubled sea
Some are burned or swept away
Some we would not choose
But we're not always free

[Chorus]

I agree with the whole delivery of song lines notion you put forward there... the song I posted earlier today makes those songlines say so much more when you consider the delivery of the lyrics - in a cold, stark broken hearted fashion... it's truly the perfect song for uniting it's lyrical theme with it's musical delivery.

these feet cant take the weight of one, much less two,...we hit concrete/ my fiction beats the hell out of my truth - jawbreaker/lucero

runnin wild and sleepin with the thieves, tell me baby what would would you have me be - lucero

kiss her on the forehead, as her how she slept, she says 'baby its too early, maybe we shouldnt speak yet' - lyle lovett

i wish you'd make up my bed so i could make up my mind - ryan adams

we're such a complicated nation, but i still got rock n roll / if the boss had been a preacher he could have led us to the lord - scott miller

'Cause when love is gone, there's always justice.
And when justice is gone, there's always force.
And when force is gone, there's always Mom. Hi Mom!

Laurie Anderson - O Superman

"The only thing I learned from love is how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya"
"Darkness at the break of noon shadows even the silver spoon, the hand made blade the child's balloon eclipses both the sun and moon, you'll understand and know too soon there is no sense in trying."

The second quotation definitely overrides mine, hehe.
But the thing about mine is that... the singer is a man.
So what, when he can't do it all he can, he's a woman? xD

Then there are times when I can't seem to understand at all
And yes
It seems as though I'm going nowhere
Really ****ing fast

There are so many others, but that one came to mind first. See my signature for another favorite.
