I love the lyrics to this song because while they are goofy they are played with a completely straight face in a cool rock song.

The Barstool Prophets

The Last of the Big Game Hunters.

I have heard dandelions
Roaring out in my backyard.
A direct approach is dangerous
Until you're sure they've
dropped their guard.
You'd be better off to wait
Until the brutes go for the bait
And when they can't anticipate
Is when you pounce and break their necks.
Sure, some call me insane...
But danger is my middle name.

I have spied tiger-spiders
On the prowl along my fence.
But the speed at which they travel
Makes a chase much too intense.
So you set your traps with care,
Scattering them here and there,
Hoping for a leg to snare
(And with eight, the odRAB
are in your favour.)
Watch out they can maim
Even with a leg left lame.
Sure, some call me insane...
But danger is my middle name.

There is one great adversary
That consumes my thoughts foremost.
You see, a dragonfly breathes fire,
So its not safe to get too close.
But its hard to be aware
Of them appearing from nowhere
As they swoop down through the air.
I might just need a rocket-launcher.
Not even scalding flame
Could make me shake my aim.
Sure, some call me insane...
But danger is my middle name.

"This vacation's useless These white pills aren't kind I've given a lot of thought on this 13-hour drive."

When you're angry there's no better lyrics than Slayer's Exile

When I'm feeling a bit less "heated", the chorus from O! Valencia!, by the Deceraberists gives me goosbumps it's so good :)

Blue yonder dreams and second hand shoes
You're so far gone that you live to close
And it's too late to go home all alone
You're the tar in that old cigar
And the worn out cable on a cable car
And you're too tired to admit you've got to chose

I'm looking for a song to sing
I'm looking for a friend to borrow
I'm looking for my radio
So I might find a heart to follow
I've never been just longing for your loving
I've never been just wearing down to nothing
I've never been just looking for a reason
So that maybe you'd be thinking of me

- Hanson, A Song to Sing

It's my favorite song...it's melancholy, and really poetic, IMO...love it.

"16 held such better days, Days when I still felt alive We couldn't wait to get outside The world was wide, too late to try The tour was over we'd survived I couldn't wait till I got home to pass the time in my room alone." Adam's Song by blink-182
The song that got me into them like in the 3rd or 4th grade.

Corniest line from a song:
"It's hard to be a man, but I do it all I can."

WHAT? =P

The song isn't bad in itself but that line was erabarrassing

"Love is a tired symphony you hum when you're awake"
"Love is the dream you enter though i shake and shake and shake you"

-Iron and Wine

"all i can say
is that my life is pretty plain
i like watchin' the puddles
gather rain

and all I can do
is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
but it's not sane, its not sane"- No Rain by Blind Melon

having been obsessed with the Talking HeaRAB lately....

"Perfect World"
Somebody said that it happens all over the world
I do believe that it's true
And the sun's coming up
And we're doing all the things that we should
Doesn't everybody here believe in the things we do?

(and she said) This is a perfect world
I'm riding on an incline
I'm staring in your face
You'll photograph mine
