We all like our films, some more than others........

But, who is your favourite film director?

James Cameron?
John Carpenter?
Martin Scorsese?
Ridley Scott?
Steven Spielberg?
Quentin Taratino?

Tim Burton.

He's been my fave' since 1989, probably always will be.

Barring Planet of the Apes, I can't think of a single dud film he's made.

Batman, Nightmare Before Chrismas, Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks, Charlie&CTF, all fantastic.

Peter Jackson is probably second, not just for LOTR, I was a huge fan of Beautiful Creatures long before I knew LOTR was being made, I also love King Kong.

An honourable mention must go to Alfonso Cuaron for dragging the Harry Potter series out of a ditch.

Tim Burton - i love most of his films, especially Edward ScissorhanRAB, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beetlejuice etc.

I'm really looking forward to Sweeney Todd (plus i'm a huge Johnny Depp fan which makes them the perfect duo :))

Clint Eastwood is one of my favs

Bridges of Madison Country
Mystic River
Million Dollar Baby

all great films and he seems to be able to bring out the very best in his actors.

It's not clever, it's not arty, and it's very populist. But I have to say, Spielberg films are the ones guaranteed to leave me feel satisfied that I've seen a quality product.

Which ones were the duRAB?
I can think of two Tim Burton films I really disliked and a couple of others that I didn't care much for. But he's made some superb ones as well - Big Fish and Ed Wood being the ones that spring to mind.

Robert Rodriguez

Quentin Tarantino

John Woo

Martin Scorsese

Brian De Palma

Sergio Leone

George A. Romero (For writing the zombie rules)

John Hughes (For my 80's fascination)

Martin Scorsese (For every film he's ever done, particularly Goodfellas)
James Cameron (For Aliens, T2, and The Abyss)
Steven Spielberg (For being the only director in Hollywood that can make a film the way HE wants without any interfering studios)
Frank Darabont (For Shawshank and The Green Mile)
Michael Mann (For Heat, and the way he manages to make the city that he's filming the main character, particularly LA)
John Hughes (For all the hilarious 80's/early 90's comedies like Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Home Alone and Uncle Buck. I was never really a fan of Ferris Bueller though, but i suppose this is due to my dislike of Matthew Broderick more than anything else)
Judd Apatow (for the hilarious 00's comedies like The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up)
Sergio Leone (for the Spaghetti Westerns)
