Favourite Disaster movie?

Definatly Towering Infirno!!!

Terrible thing was though hte last time i watced was not long after i saw teh doctumentry about 911 by the 2 frech film makers and it was so freaky to see real firemen like in the Towering infirno film as they filmed parts of it in the world trade centre!!!

I preferred the original titanic film (" longest night" I think)

there were story's within the main story and No sodding love interest lol
And it really made me cry

Armageddon is much better than deep impact, deep impact isnt even in the same league as Armageddon.

Also The Day After Tomorrow is a good disaster movie :)

A Night to Remember (1958)

While this film is no match technically for the 1997 Titanic film, A Night to Remember beats the blockbuster in almost every other category. Director Roy Ward Baker took a documentary approach to chronicling the disaster on film, examining how and why the unsinkable sank. His fully realized characters sprang to life, eliciting sympathy and compassion.

Recognise some of the names later to become famous ?

The Day After Tomorrow for me - was great watching that in the cinema, it all seemed real. And all those Twisters they showed over LA actually made me really frightened and i had to hide under my coat (dumb i know!) :D

Posiedon adventure and deep impact, and the day after tomorrow- purely for the tidal waves
I am fasinated by tidal waves and love seeing them on screen - not so nice seeing the real ones recently though
