Favourite Christmas Film

It's a Wonderful Life,
Scrooged
Home Alone
National Lampoons
Love Actually
Gremlins
Christmas with the Kranks
The Amazing Mr Blunden
Muppets Chistmas Carol
The Grinch
Polar Express
Elf

I'm such a loser when it comes to Christmas films!

Worst one I've seen is Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck. Really poor effort!

I adore Jimmy Stewart so I have no idea why I haven't seen IAWL yet. It's just something I've never got around to doing for some strange reason. But I plan to sit down with it over the Christmas holidays with a little wine and some fun snack food. :)

Now that it's almost that time of year again do any of you dust off your favourite Christmas film just to get you in the festive spirit.

My tastes are simple. I like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Elf. Anymore?

The Polar Express tops my list. I LOVE it.

And;

The Snowman
Home Alone 1 & 2
The Santa Clause (1994) (with Tim Allen)
The Santa Clause Movie
The Grinch

As well as;

Bridget Jones 1 + 2
Love Actually
Harry Potter

:)

Another that I love which hasn't been mentioned yet - One Magic Christmas, from 1985 starring Mary Steenburgen. It's a bit of an odd little movie but it has a charm, and I love how the "Scrooge" type character is the mother for a change, which makes it interesting.

BBTIME. You are going to be very busy this Christmas if you're watching all those films.

Imogen. Following your description, I want Christmas right now. Heaven.

Me too! I'm not usually excited about Christmas but for some reason I'm looking forward to it more than usual this year and am getting in the spirit earlier than I normally would. I am usually not a drinker either but if I do drink, I love a good glass of white wine while I'm huddled up warm indoors on a dark winter night. Bliss! :D

I've got both versions of "Miracle", and I've got to say it's one of the few movie remakes that actually works. I think I'll always like the original 1940s version that little bit more though as it's the one I saw first.

Home Alone and Home Alone 2.
The Polar Express.
The Family Stone.
Rather embarassingly, All I want for Christmas.
Father Ted Xmas special.
Any christmassy FrienRAB episode.
Any 'Chrismukkah' episode of The OC.

:)
