favoriuite tom hanks film

Tom Hanks is probably my favourite actor. He hasn't made a bad film since the 80's (and even then they were still decent). He always delivers (well he works for Fed Ex afterall) but I would love him to return to some of the comedy roles that made him famous in the early days. It's really hard just picking a few so I'll pick the ones I can watch over and over again:

Splash! (1984) - Perfect love story
Big (1988) - Best body swap film
Turner and Hooch (1989)
The 'burbs (1989) - I think it got too much stick. I like it
Forrest Gump (1994)
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Toy Story 1 & 2 - Looks like 3 will complete the perfect trilogy. They tell Woody's journey
Cast Away (2000) - He makes us cry over a volleyball!

And I have barely touched on his more serious roles!

I'm not sure why, but the loss of Wilson didn't make me cry, but when he was on the plane with his mate, and he was told of his 'funeral', I sobbed my heart out.

Tom's acting in the 'man finally being able to have a proper wee' in The Green Mile is one of my favourite scenes in cinema. He gets it spot on.

I've always thought Tom Hanks shouts better on screen than any other actor. Bit like Tom Cruise runs better than any other actor.

So I would got with The Burbs and Turner and Hooch.

With the theme from 2001 accompaniment: Hooch, I've got a muffin, see the muffin Hooch, see the muffin, a muffin for Hooch, I'VE GOT A MUFFIN FOR YA!:D

I love Big. The scene with the giant piano inspired me to learn how to play. In all honesty, I can still only play that song and the Eastenders theme! Forrest Gump gets me everytime. I think Splash and Philadelphia are classics. The Green Mile has the perfect mix of humour, drama and weepy moments.

He is a brilliant actor, but I didn't like Castaway. I only watched it for the Wilson bit. I do have to acknowledge that it must have been a difficult role for him.

I forgot about Splash. The scene where he is acting as usher at the wedding and gets more and more agitated("anywhere but the first three rows") is one of my favourite comedy moments
