Favorite Weekday Morning/Before School Cartoons

What I recall is that it aired REALLY early. It was on like at 6 or 6:30am. I only watched it on those rare days that I actually woke up that early.

That sounds about right. If you actually had elementary school during the 90's, you'd know that 6am-8am was primetime in the morning for cartoons. Sometimes if you were sick or had a day off you'd see the ones that air 8am-10am which was pretty much the crap slot (Peter Pan).

I also recall that at least on my local Fox network, they' have the time and temperature in the corner which was convenient for catching the bus to school.

Yeah, I hated how Peter Pan & The Pirates got shafted on Fox's schedule. It only aired for two years on my affiliate, the first year in the afternoon before I got home from school, and in the second year weekday mornings after I left.

I had to wait until summer vacation to catch the whole run, and I still don't think I ever saw every episode. I don't know why they always ran the best shows at 8 and 8:30 because I was always on the bus at 8 or sooner.

I used to love watching Pokemon during Kids' WB in the morning before I went to school. I might have seen some episodes on UPN too, but I don't remember that. I remember when before Fox Family became ABC Family, and perhaps some time after the change too, they would air some nice shows like Flint the Time Dective and Digimon.

I remember back during middle school, UPN would air Digimon Frontier and I really liked seeing that before I headed off to school, even though I consider it the weakest out of all of the Digimon series.

I disagree. 6-7am was too early. Most kids were either sleeping or in the shower. 7am could go either way. 7:30am was the only primetime part. Personally, I got up at 7am. By the time I brushed my teeth, took a shower, got dressed, and got my breakfast it was 7:30am. Depending on the year I saw a number of cartoons, one of them being Bobby's World. My Elementary school was nearby so I could watch the first 15-20 minutes of the cartoon airing in the 8am slot.

I rarely saw network cartoons during those hours. I always switched to cable which had the good stuff. The ONLY cartoons I recall airing after 8:30am was the `90s He-Man cartoon and Double Dragon.

Now I remember why I didn't watch cartoons in the morning. All the good stuff started at 8:00 at the earliest, and that's when I had to be out the door. It was even worse in Jr. High when I had to be at the bus stop at 6:50 .
