Favorite songs of 2010 so far

I'm typing this half way through listening to that vid you posted stu.
Over the years I've learned to trust your judgement and that is what compelled me to spend the time giving this a whirl.
Like I said...halfway through listening and already his lyrics have drawn me in.

I'll now be listening to the album sometime real soon. :beer:

A few highlights for me so far;

That whole album is completely amazing, he uses his lyrics to paint vivid pictures in your head. One of the highlights of 2010 so far!

I've had it lying on my hard drive for 2 months, yet I've just now had the time to listen to it. I've never wanted to slap myself this hard...

I imagine the new TWDY will have a nice enough arabient piece. Considering all of the disappointment people seem to be having with their new material, I'm actually quite anxious to find out what it sounRAB like.

I don't know what it is, but that voice really really grates on my ears like sandpaper. I'm probably hypersensitive to his fundamental frequency (or the way his vocal tracks were EQ'ed) or something, but it was hard to listen to.

Not to mention the autotune vocal correction that was plainly apparent in some parts. Seemed like it would have been better with a natural drift.

Maybe I should listen to more of it or something... have any suggestions?

Just a few that I'm enjoying

for the last one, it says 2009, but it was officially released on his 2010 album, so yeah.

I've only downloaded two albums from this year so far, so my choices are a bit hemmed in. But..

Mineshat II - Dessa, not quite as good as the original which appeared on False Hopes, but a great song nonetheless. It was hard making a choice from this album though, it's incredibly consistent.

Sheep - Gonjasufi
, the standout track on this album so far, maybe just because it's the most accessible compared to most of the very lo-fi tracks. Gaslampkilla's production is sublime, and Gonjasufi's cracked voice fits perfectly.
