Mine changes almost every day, but Wet Cement by The Morning Benders is quite possible my top favorite. It's a perfect song for a summer evening. I love the album art from them as well

I've heard about the possibly of Auto-Tune, but the way he sings it live seems about the exact same, so I haven't read too much into it.

It seems like his voice is really the deciding factor, from what I've seen on comments of the album. I'm personally still working on picking favorites off of the album and whatnot, so I couldn't really recommend much. His voice is pretty much consistently like that, though, it jumps up and down a lot. His previous albums might be different, though I've never heard them.

First-rate metal from the symphonic side of the infernal pond; the album this comes from is probably my favorite band debut this year also.

The best four minutes of arabient-anything ever made, and a strong contender for my numero uno 2010 electronic release overall.

Haha, I don't recall saying that, but I agree. That album is absolutely loaded with winners. "Bye Bye Symphony", "Second Floor", and "Evil Thoughts" are easily 5-star tracks too.

Pop album of the year?

My favorite off of the Gorillaz new album.

I have to say my favorite song this year is by Miranda Larabert, 'The House Built For Me'. She is a real traditional country girl and an outstanding performer and country artist, this song is more contemporary country than it is traditional. What a beautiful song! I just love it, I would think it could fit in the alternative catagory also even though its country.

This reminRAB me of Love. Will investigate further. Thanks to right-track for emphasizing the post. Seems the band is called Villagers and not Probably Villagers?

the high road - broken bells
the sea is a good place to think of the future - los campesinos
afraid of everyone - the national
catholic pagans - surfer blood
scissor - liars

haha.

Lostprophets - Where We Belong
Lostprophets - The Light that Shines Twice as Bright
Broken Bells - The Ghost Inside
Beach House - Used to Be

hmm, that's all I can think of atm

Lots of good songs but the really standout tracks I can think of are these two.
Crystal Castles - Doe Deer
MGMT - It's Working

and

Fu.cking Werewolf Asso - Kid! Just Letting You Know We Are Doing It Again
That entire album is beyond addictive.
